Horizontal Small Hanger - Nearly Home Trees

It is 12cm long by 5cm

This fused glass hanger has been inspired by the Cornish countryside, handmade in Cornwall in my studio. It is 12cm long by 5cm wide with nichrome hanging hooks and rustic twine, this hanger can be hung from a window to allow light to pass through or against a plain wall, the textured glass still allows light to reflect and sparkle.

I use purely bullseye glass to ensure compatibility and layer powdered and crushed glass frit to create images before each piece is carefully fired for 13-15 hours.

This image is inspired by the iconic "Nearly Home trees" on the Devon / Cornwall border at Lifton, also known as Cookworthy Knapp. Many weary travellers love this heartwarming image when arriving back in Cornwall. Iridised spring green glass is complimented with Aventurine Green and jade green and texture is incorporated to increase light reflections. Little sheep gambol in the field whilst fluffy clouds float past.

Each piece of my glass is created without templates or machinery so no two pieces are identical, therefore pieces may differ slightly from photographs.
