Large Hanger - Sea scene with agapanthus

This fused glass hanger has been inspired by the Cornish seaside and coast. It is handmade in Cornwall in my studio. Iridised glass gives the sea a glittery effect. The impression of agapanthus on a coastal path is created with lots of textures, seagulls fly overhead and clouds float lazily by. It is approx 24cm long  by 6.5 cm wide with a nichrome hanging hook and rustic twine, this hanger can be hung from a window to allow light to pass through or against a plain wall, the textured glass still allows light to reflect and sparkle. 

I use purely bullseye glass to ensure compatibility and layer powdered and crushed glass frit to create images before each piece is carefully fired for 13-15 hours. 

Each one is hand made individually without templates or machinery so will vary slightly from the photographs.
