Large Hanger - Sea scene with Cornish engine house. Tin mine Poldark

This fused glass hanger has been inspired by the Cornish seaside and coast, handmade in Cornwall in my studio. Iridised turquoise glass gives the sea a glittery effect as a backdrop to the quintessential Cornish heritage of a tin mine engine house. It is 24cm long  by 6.5 cm wide with a nichrome hanging hook and rustic twine, this hanger can be hung from a window to allow light to pass through or against a plain wall, the textured glass still allows light to reflect and sparkle. 

Each piece is handmade without templates so will differ slightly from the photographs. 

I use purely bullseye glass to ensure compatibility and layer powdered and crushed glass frit to create images before each piece is carefully fired for 13-15 hours.
