Turquoise Crashing Wave

This fused glass, freestanding curve can sit on a windowsill or shelf and catches the light wonderfully with aqua and turquoise glass and textured white sea spray. Candles can be lit behind the wave to add extra ambiance.

The curve is created in my studio in Cornwall and is a 2-3 day process, layers of thin coloured glass, crushed glass and powdered glass are used to create an intricate design. It is then heated in a glass kiln for 13 hours to fuse the crushed glass together, after cooling and cold working it is returned to the kiln where it is slumped over a mould for another 13 hours to create the distinctive curves. Each piece is handmade with no templates or machinery so no two are identical.

It is approx 7 cm tall and approx 16 cm wide. The curve is signed.
