Most customers simply choose one of Claire’s existing designs.

If you’re looking for something completely bespoke, Claire can also create a one-off memorial commission inspired by a special place or memory.

These are individually quoted due to the additional design work involved.

Can I choose any design?
Yes. Most of Claire's existing fused glass designs can be created as a memorial commission. Simply choose your favourite landscape or artwork, and Claire will carefully incorporate a small amount of ashes into a newly created piece. If you're unsure which design would be most suitable, Claire will be happy to help you choose.
Can more than one person's ashes be included?
Yes. Claire can respectfully incorporate the ashes of more than one loved one into a single artwork, allowing families to keep those special connections together in one beautiful keepsake.
Can pet ashes be included?
Absolutely. Memorial commissions are available for cherished pets as well as family members, creating a lasting tribute to celebrate the love and memories you shared.
How much ash is needed?
Only a very small amount of ashes is required. Claire will advise you before you send anything, ensuring you only provide the minimum amount needed for your chosen piece.
How long does it take?
Most memorial commissions are completed within 6 to 8 weeks. As every piece is individually handmade and kiln fired, this allows time for Claire to create your artwork with the care and attention it deserves.
Can I request a completely bespoke design?
Yes. While most customers choose one of Claire's existing fused glass designs, completely bespoke memorial commissions are also available. These are individually designed from scratch and quoted separately due to the additional design work involved. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas.
