Large Hanger - Cornish Sea scene

This fused glass hanger has been inspired by the Cornish seaside and coast, handmade in Cornwall in my studio. Iridised glass gives the sea a glittery effect whilst the texture of the added frit creates great movement in the crashing waves. It is with a nichrome hanging hook and rustic twine, this hanger can be hung from a window to allow light to pass through or against a plain wall, the textured glass still allows light to reflect and sparkle. 

I use purely bullseye glass to ensure compatibility and layer powdered and crushed glass frit to create images before each piece is carefully fired for 13-15 hours.
