Small Hanger - Sea scene with poppies

This fused glass hanger has been inspired by the Cornish seaside and coast, particularly along the North coast and Polly Joke and Pentire. It is handmade in Cornwall in my studio. Iridised glass gives the sea a glittery effect whilst seagulls fly overhead.  It is 12cm long by 5cm wide with a nichrome hanging hook and rustic twine, this hanger can be hung from a window to allow light to pass through or against a plain wall, the textured glass still allows light to reflect and sparkle. Each one is handmade so may vary slightly from the photograph. 

I use purely bullseye glass to ensure compatibility and layer powdered and crushed glass frit to create images before each piece is carefully fired for 13-15 hours.
