Trinket Dish - Seascene with poppies

This gorgeous little dish can be used to hold jewellery, sweets, as a spoon rest, soap dish or just to look pretty. This piece has been inspired by the Cornish seaside and coast, particularly along the North coast and Polly Joke and Pentire. It is handmade in Cornwall in my studio. I love to leave lots of texture in my work, this increases the surface area to allow lots of light reflection.

The sea is calm and relaxing with turquiose and dark aqua and the delicate impression of poppies in the foreground. 

Each piece is made without the use of machinery and templates so each one is unique. This piece has been fired twice in my specialist Glass kiln in my home studio for 13 hours each time.
