Tin Mine Engine House

This tin mine engine house evokes memories of the historic industry for which Cornwall is famous. It is constructed using bullseye glass with crushed and powdered glass to add detail and intrigue. The engine house perfectly fits a tealight which can be lit to provide a glowing ambience. The tealight candle is not included in this sale.

The glass is layered and decorated before firing in a specialist glass kiln for approx 13 hours, this fuses the glass together. It is highly textured which allows for more light reflection.  All of my glass is handmade in my garden workshop in Cornwall, as each piece is individually made by hand no two are exactly the same. The engine house is approx 13cm tall and 7 cm wide.
